Revolutionising Hokkaido tourism through cycle tourism!
Founded in 2009 with the aim of providing peace of mind and safety for cyclists to enjoy carefully selected cycling routes amid the world-class cycling environment of Hokkaido, with guidance provided by rigorously trained professionals. We are proud to be a cycling tour guide company at the forefront of cycle tourism in Hokkaido, offering the best possible service to riders from around the world.
A message from the CEO
Developing Hokkaido’s cycling culture with unprecedented ideas and speed
After retiring as an athlete, I wanted to continue earning a living from cycling, and ride for the rest of my life. This was the desire with which the history of Cycling Frontier began.
The road to the creation of a cycling guide business, which was almost unprecedented in Japan at the time, was a bumpy one.
However, we overcame countless difficulties, were blessed with many customers and friends who shared our passion, and just as our cycling tours gradually started to become busier, the world around us also began to change dramatically.
The potential of cycle tourism began to be recognised, and the number of initiatives promoting cycle tourism began to increase rapidly throughout Japan.
As the cycling culture here in Japan is still in its infancy and traffic conditions and regulations are not yet as cycle-friendly as they could be, we identified certain aspects of cycle tourism that lacked the input that can only be provided by seasoned cyclists.
Before promoting cycle tourism, let’s first revolutionise cycling culture
Cyclists will visit places with an advanced cycling culture, regardless of how they are promoted. However much you promote cycle tourism, without a fundamental love of cycling at the heart of these destinations, they will never appeal to cyclists.
Creating a world-class cycling culture in Hokkaido
With this dream in mind, and our eternal love of bikes, together we can create some of the finest memories you will ever have while cycling. Hope you can join us for the ride of your life.
